Toni Brown
Bio
Toni Brown has an instantly recognizable name in the Dead Head and Improvisational Jamband circuits. She spent most of her life in music’s visceral fold. From 1980-2000, Toni was publisher of Relix Magazine, a bible amongst Dead Heads and a visionary link to "intelligent music alternatives." Relix effectively helped propel the Jamband scene, and Toni has taken her place as a performing participant.
Touring since 1995, Toni Brown has appeared at clubs, theaters and festivals nationally, in Japan, Europe and the Caribbean. She has shared the stage with many musical friends-including Blues Traveler, Hot Tuna, Big Brother & The Holding Co., Vassar Clements, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Merl Saunders, Vince Welnick/Tom Constanten and Donna Jean of the Grateful Dead, Bela Fleck, Yonder Mountain String Band, Peter Rowan, JGB, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Flying Burrito Brothers, Commander Cody, Zen Tricksters, Leftover Salmon, David Nelson Band, ekoostik hookah, Max Creek, String Cheese Incident, Kynda, funkUs, Bluelegs, Juggling Suns, Living Earth and many others.
In addition to touring as a solo artist, Toni surrounds herself with a diverse backdrop of great musicians. Splitting her time between New Hope, Pennsylvania and Orlando, Florida, Toni is solidifying her musical bases in both areas.
